With a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Teaching and Health from Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO, Kristy brings a wealth of experience to her role. As a Contract Land Technician at Livingstone, Kristy collaborates with clients on various land projects. Her responsibilities include conducting research, right-of-way acquisition, and negotiating with landowners. She ensures efficient completion of acquisitions and prepares necessary documents and agreements.
Business Assistant: From 2010-2022, Kristy served as a Business Assistant at Southwest Ag., Bayfield, CO, supporting various departments such as accounting, rental, and client interface. She managed inventory records, assisted customers, and handled day-to-day business needs.
Owner and Manager: As the owner and manager of Snowcap Sod, Durango, Kristy oversaw the day-to-day operations of a commercial and residential sod business in 1997-2010. She excelled in marketing, sales, customer relations, and staff management.
She also became an office manager from 1997-2012 at Commercial Rock Products, Bayfield, CO. She was responsible for the payroll, employee HR, billings, and permits. She also assisted with business closure and on-site reclamation of mining pit properties.
Title Company Manager, Title Researcher, and Closer:
Kristy served at the Colorado Land Title Co. from 1993-1997. Her responsibilities included client relations, employee management, and daily closings across multiple locations. And in 1988-1991, she worked as a Closer and Title Researcher at the Land Title Guarantee Company. Kristy prepared closing documents, resolved requirements, and maintained client files.
Land Planning: In 1991-1993, Kristy worked on land planning submittals to county and state agencies at Southwest Land Services, Durango, CO. She specialized in gravel pits and subdivisions.
Outside of Work: Kristy and her husband manage a 120-acre alfalfa and grass hay farm. They also raise quality cutting and performance horses in Ignacio. Snowmobiling and archery hunting are their favorite downtime activities.
