LAND AGENT

Cameron is a land negotiator with 15 years of diverse legal and land acquisition experience. He has worked in house with major oil companies as well as small startups. His experience in almost every active basin in the United States has given him a unique understanding of the business. Some of Cameron’s experience includes acquiring and disposing of over $4 billion in various land positions, successful leasing in highly competitive plays, and representing industry interests in a volatile political environment. Cameron’s strengths are contract drafting, creative negotiations, and managing complex projects. He  has a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, a law degree from the University of Tulsa, and a Professional Energy Management Certification from the University of Texas. 

Corporate Real Estate: Cameron started as an agent for Lobo and Eagle Ford Assets in Laredo, Texas. He prepared financial analysis for and participated in successful buyout negotiations of a $40 million office lease. 

Surface Landman: For almost 10 years, Cameron made notable career advancements while working with ConocoPhillips Company for its several branches namely Eagle Ford, San Juan Basin, Bakken Asset, and Niobrara and Piceance Assets. His role began as a  Landman, to Land Supervisor, to which he eventually received the Senior Surface Landman position. Cameron’s significant contributions include: managing relationships with federal, state, and tribal governments; implementing a drilling lease preservation program in a complex, high-stakes environment; managing leaseholds in New Mexico, Colorado, and North Dakota; drafting contracts, preparing documents, and all post-closing issues for the sale of all assets in the San Juan Basin; negotiating and drafting operator agreement with City of Aurora; and managing 78,000 net acre feet of water rights and 44,000 net surface acres on Colorado and White Rivers. All of which have become noteworthy accomplishments under his management and direct involvement. He also added value to the Crestone Peak Resources as a Senior Surface Landman. 

Legal Counsel and VP of Land: Cameron has spearheaded the acquisition of more than 30k acres in the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. He also supervised all aspects of land negotiation, acquisition, and legal activities including strategy, financial analysis, counsel, document drafting, and managing outside counsel. 

Owner and Lead Negotiator: In 2021, Cameron built Dynasty Resources, LLC, and is continuing to develop, plan, and lead creative and strategic negotiations for his clients to this day.
